While we are predominantly a self-moderated community, we also have clear values that we want to uphold.
Here are some common-sense guidelines that'll help you steer away from trouble and will help us create a healthy community.
Keep these rules in mind when you fill out profiles, post photos or chat

Don't do anything illegal on our site and apps

Illegal activity will not be tolerated on SANA. This may result in being banned or restricted from the site, and/or being reported to the authorities.

Respect all users

SANA takes a strong stance against hate speech, rude or abusive behaviour, bullying, and misogyny. You should behave the same way on SANA as you would in real life. Additionally we encourage all of our users to report anyone who does not follow these behavioural guidelines. As a community rooted in kindness and respect, we expect all of our users to respect each other, themselves, and the SANA staff.

Bullying / Harassment

We want you to use SANA without fear of being subjected to malicious harassment or threats. Posts that become a malicious attack should be flagged. Mildly annoying posts can be ignored.

Harassment may include:

Messages and content that are meant to humiliate, hurt, or attack someone
Sexualization of individuals
Incitement to bully other users

Discrimination / Hate Speech

We encourage free speech and believe in the right to express different views. However, we don't permit hate speech and discrimination. Hate speech refers to content that promotes violence against people or has the primary purpose of inciting hostility against others based on certain attributes. These attributes may include: ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, refugee status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Trolling

We enjoy and encourage playful jokes on SANA. We do not encourage trolling, which can include content that elicits negative responses from others, comments that don't add value to a conversation, and comments that are repetitive.

Spam

We ask our users not to post the same content and messages over and over again. We also don't condone promoting or selling through our app/site. This includes any services, products, and animals. Propaganda should be flagged, as well as any posts that merely push out opinions and ideas without eliciting a constructive discussion.

Invasion of Privacy

Deanonymization is strictly prohibited. We do not condone any attempts to guess at or reveal information about other users. Revealing someone's personal information or identifiable details is unacceptable.

It is forbidden:

– to take content outside of our application and site for the purpose of deanonymization, threats, inconvenience or harassment. inconvenience or persecution.

– to take screenshots and send information to third parties in order to find out the identity of a person.

– to purposefully find out details about users, especially if you do not have a match.This includes photos, names, and sometimes initials.


You have the right to show a profile belonging to another user, your family members, friends and relatives.

If someone breaks this rule, we will know about it. We have enough technical means for this.

Impersonation

Impersonating others through photos, profile information, or messages is unacceptable behavior at SANA. Users flagged as impersonating another person may be denied access to the application.

Inappropriate Content

Pornography, explicitly sexual content, nudity, and content that may make others feel deeply uncomfortable are not acceptable. Excessive and unnecessary swearing is also not condoned.

Hate speech

Any insults against any nationalities, races, social, cultural and ethnic groups are prohibited

Objectionable content and behaviors

In our application and website it is forbidden to publish content that is offensive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, or in exceptionally poor taste. Examples of such content include:

• Defamatory or mean-spirited content, including references or commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, or other targeted groups, particularly if the. Professional political satirists and humorists are not exempt from this requirement.
  
  
• Realistic portrayals of people or animals being killed, maimed, tortured, or abused, or content that encourages violence. Offensive jokes that are aimed solely at a certain race, culture, customs of other peoples. Including the creation of fake accounts with the aim of provoking and humiliating other people or ethnic and cultural groups. For this you will be banned at the level of the device and all available information.

Ethnic disputes.

We have created this space for love. It is forbidden to talk about hatred towards other cultures and peoples here. If you have complaints about some peoples and groups, then SANA is the last place in the world where you can talk about it. No discrimination is allowed here. Neither by faith, nor by culture, nor by nationality, nor by place of residence, nor by place of birth and origin, nor by caste.

It should be borne in mind that people do not choose where and by whom they were born, but they can choose how to behave with other people.

Religious views.

Sana'a is not a place for mentorship, declaration of political and religious views. Do not judge anyone and do not impose your views on anyone. There are many places and ways in the world where this can be done with greater benefit and efficiency. We do not compete with religious organizations. Therefore, we will be grateful to you if you perceive people as they are. Otherwise, we will be forced to limit your account.

Political agitation

Any political campaigning and fundraising is prohibited.

Collection of donations.

It is forbidden to write about fundraising, especially proactively in personal messages. You can publish any photos with announcements or in support of some projects and ideas that are important for your ethno-cultural group. Direct links to e-wallets and bank details are prohibited.

SANA photo guidelines:

No kids on their own. They must be in the photo with an adult, and fully clothed.

No photos with cigarettes and drugs are prohibited (even if it is an artistic imitation)

No photos in bikinis/swimwear indoors.

No pictures in underwear.

No Shirtless/underwear Mirror Selfies.

No photos of any type of illegal activity. That means no pictures of drug usage or abusive and obscene behavior.

No pornographic material.

No photos that include guns, unless the user is a member of the military or a law enforcement officer in uniform.

No personal contact information in photos or bio.


Remember, You are solely responsible for all photos and content that you posted, including claims from copyright holders and law enforcement agencies.


We use a combination of automated systems and a team of moderators to monitor and review accounts and messages for content that indicates a violation of these Guidelines. If you do not follow these rules, you will receive a warning (unless our team decides to block or restrict access without warning at our discretion). If you ignore this warning, you risk losing your account. These policies are designed to make SANA a safe and convenient place for all of our users.


If you see content that violates what we stand for, please flag it for removal. Users who do not uphold our guidelines will be temporarily restricted and repeat offenders will be permanently banned from using our service. Each of you are an important member of the community and you help shape the conversations on SANA.
